About

During its 2018 session, the Virginia General Assembly passed legislation that designates the Thursday before Memorial Day each year as Celebrate Transportation Day in Virginia.

This year, we honor the heroes of our industry.

These Virginia transportation employees work to create and maintain a multimodal transportation network connecting people to jobs, supplies and health care across the Commonwealth. Their work has become even more critical during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring essential goods and workers get to the places they need to be.
